SHRIMPMEAT:
READ BOOKS WITH LOTS OF SWEARING. Don't be a cheap skate, just buy the
book you want. Two things in life I don't cheap out on are books and food.

OWLBOT: Make sure you always have a book you can turn to--like if you hate your friends or if you are sick of working. Or have to take the subway every damn day. Read as much as you can in life--it'll make your brain better and more interesting. Also, read other than American writers, like Indian writers and Japanese. It will help you learn about other cultures and places without the pain of learning it through history classes. Read today! |

GOOD BOOKS I'VE READ RECENTLY "Cruddy" by Lynda Barry--I really recommend this book, weird dream world with odd characters and knife fights. I loved this book so much that I was driven to buy another knife for my collection. "The Legacy of Luna" by Julia Hill--She's not a dirty hippie, she's a tree hugger. Wow, I didn't even realize that sitting in a tree for two years straight was so dangerous and taxing. An eye opening book that makes your city ass yearn for trees. She's a tree warrior. "The House of Sand and Fog" by Andre DuBus III--This is a pretty suspense filled book. It's good because I would flip flop between hating the characters and feeling for them. It involves and immigrant family from Persia and a trashy lady who is going nowhere in life, and a bad cop. They're all fighting over a house. The book has a shocking ending. more to come.... |
